A week in London
Having sacrificed a significant part of our former social lives in order to avail ourselves of overtime opportunities at work, a spate of cultural encounters in the past week demands a post to this otherwise dedicated travel-blog.
Mid week, our discreetly enlightened friend, Kate Goodwin, kindly invited us to attend a private viewing at an exhibition held by the Royal Academy of Arts of works entitled ‘Edvard Munch by Himself’—a highly commendable exposition of art by a creative but troubled individual fixated on death and his sister. We lightened the evening with a heavy dose of Peking Duck and Tsing Tao in China Town.
On Friday, Sophie and Martins’ place was the venue for a public exhibition of eclectic audiovisual media made available through the hard work of Christian Frock and her innovative website Invisible Venue. So impressed by this anti-capitalist venture we have put a permanent link to her website on our blog. There is also this link below for convenience (I would recommend that you at least look at the first piece by Tommy Becker—adored it!).

A few days later, Jacqueline, mother dearest, took Weisie and me to an organ recital by Dame Gillian Weir at the Royal Albert Hall. It was genuinely stirring and the most fun we have had with a family member wiping away tears.
